Explore the Yacuma Protected Forest with expert birding guides, visiting the exclusive Hidden Lagoon, wetlands, clay licks, and Huaorani territory in search of an exceptional variety of bird species. - Transfer: Santa Rosa Community – Yacuma Ecolodge (45-60 minutes river navigation), On the way you will enjoy
watching shorebirds. (King fisher and Cormoran) - Welcome with traditional drink “Guayusa”
- Visit to the Yacuma viewpoint or Visit the “Hidden
Lagoon” (depends of the weather). (Hoatzin, Red Cardinal,
and white owl) - Return to Yacuma and dinner
- Hearing night birds (owls and their different varieties)
DAY 2
- “Clay Lick” morning excursion (weather dependent).
(Parakeets) 5:00 am - Breakfast (08:00 a.m.)
- Check list (10:00 – 11:00)
- Jungle hike (2 hours). Tour in the primary forest of the
reserve. (Amazonian trogon) - Free time: Kayak (optional)
- Lunch
- Swamp birdwatching, sighting of purple gallinule and
jacanas (3:30pm) - Dinner
DAY 3
- Departure to Huaorani territory where we will
observe the harpy eagle and others. (4:00 am – Full Day) - Breakfast (08:00 a.m.)

- Birdwatching in Huaorani territory
(Tucan, arasari and beach birds) - Return to Yacuma Ecolodge (6:00 pm)
- Dinner

- Canoe ride, bird watching while during the trip
